Mah Sing Group Condominium Showroom Design | D’sara Damansara, Malaysia

The concept of this project is ‘LIVING BIG‘. ‘The word ‘Live’ came in when I think of Home’ said Jason Hee. Home gives a lot of comfort to a person. Nowadays, properties and houses are very expensive. ‘What if I design a small house that people can live in it like a bigger one?’ said Jason Hee. Therefore, the concept of designing this home is ‘Living Big’. To make a house feel bigger but remain the structure at a same size, the designer researched of what areas do a larger house had and a smaller house had. Then, design a space by putting the areas that a larger house had into this house. Home is a place to relax and craving for comfort. Therefore, modern came in to Jason’s mine. Besides that, making the mood feels excited will also gives the feel of extreme. Extreme brings raw. Therefore, industrial style suits extreme. Then , combine both modern and industrial for the interior mood. Hence, the style of the interior is called ‘Modern Industrial’.

This project is a competition organized by Mah Sing Group during the late 2014. The project brief of this competition is to design a showroom for Mah Sing Group’s D’sara Sentral located in Damansara. During the award giving ceremony, Jason Hee had won the First Place for this competition.
