Daikin Air-conditional Concept Design | Malaysia

The name of the design is called ‘THE FACADE‘. The Concept for the design is `When Architectural Meets Air-Conditional’ . “I decided to apply the way of architecture thinking into a product design” said Jason Hee. Assuming the air-cond is a building, the inside of the air-cond represent the interior and the outside of the air-cond represent the exterior. This concept brings the feel of designing an air-cond cover like designing a building’s Facade (Exterior). By following the theme `New Generation Residential Air-cond’. It brings the feel of ultra-modernism. When it comes to modern, art and design were all in clean and simple form such as straights line and polygonal. Therefore, research were made for modern concept that were used in architecture for facade design. The artwork of Daikin’s logo has similar element of one of the architectural concept called deconstructivism. Therefore, deconstructivism is the best architectural concept to represent Daikin. Instead of applying this concept in a building, I successfully applied deconstructivism in Daikin’s Air-conditional Design.

This project is a competition organized by Daikin Malaysia to seek for inspiration to produce their new products. Jason Hee had won the First Prize for the competition.
